A Weekend Getaway in Taiwan: Jiu Fen

Flying over the beautiful city of Taiwan | blossomlink.me by @0oyukao0

I'm back in Japan for a month and wanted to go somewhere fun for the weekend, and we decided to go to Taiwan. Some of us left on Friday, and some of us were only there for less than 24 hours! I left on Friday and after we landed, we took the bus to Jiu Fen, the beautiful village where Hayao Miyazaki got the inspiration for Spirited Away.

We stayed at an amazing Airbnb, where the cute couple served us a beautiful authentic Taiwanese breakfast.

Sweet people

The host couple and the couple who were also a guest there were so friendly and helpful, they gave us recommendations on what to eat! :) I love staying at Airbnbs instead of hotels when I travel because there are so many unexpected serendipitous encounters with people you would never have met otherwise.
