DIY 4th of July Soaps

Homemade 4th of July soaps are great for gifts! | blossomlink.me by @0oyukao0

Happy 4th of July! To celebrate, I made a DIY stars and stripes (although the star part is abstract :)) soap bar! Make a batch and share with friends this weekend.

What you will need:

Step 1: Create 3 blocks

Divide the Glycerine into 4 pieces. They will be for red, blue, white, and the filling to stick them all together. Melt 1 block and add coloring. For white, add coconut oil. This will not only make the color white, but it will make your soap have a nourishing effect when you wash your hands with them. You can add essential oils at this time as well. Pour each into a container and let it sit over night.

Step 2: Dice it up and arrange into pattern

Take your 3 blocks and dice them up into small pieces. Start putting them back into one of the container so that it looks like the American flag from the side. When you're done, melt the remaining glycerine block and pour into the mold. This will hold all the pieces together in one soap block.

Step 3: Cut up and enjoy!

Again, let it sit for a few hours, take out of the container and cut up! Wrap up and give them away to a friend :)
